  Autumn Tomyam is a spicy new play for all adventurous tastebuds. The play, presented by Action Theatre, is set in California, Thailand and Singapore.

  It tells a poignant story of a young Thai teenage boy whose appearance in the lives of a middle-aged American diplomat and his Singaporean wife threatens to wreak havoc in their autumn years.

  The play is written by Desmond SIM (Drunken Prawns & The Swimming Instructor) and directed by Ekachai Uekrongtham.

  TAN Kheng Hua, one of Singapore's most sought-after actresses, appears as Marge CHANG, a perfect Singaporean wife to Joe Lerner, her dashing American diplomat husband, acted by John O'May, one of the most respected actors in Australia.

  The Thai teenage boy who is spicing up the couple's lives is Sittichai Aka Tid. Fresh-faced Edwin takes on the role of the teenager who never wanted to be a massage boy, but somehow became one in Bangkok and landed up in Singapore, sharing the couple's home. 

  Autumn Tomyam is rated R(A) 18. It starts its run from 16 - 26 Aug 2001 at the Drama Centre. There will be no performance on Monday.
