What's Gone - Thanks For The Memories!

     Things -  Ice Balls

In the mid-1960s, the ice water man was a common sight. Apart from drinks, another specialty of the Indian ice-water seller included the shaping of ice balls. (1)

For 5 cents, you could get a colourful red, green syrup-coated ice ball. For 5 cents more, besides the rich syrup, it was possible to have in the middle of the ice ball, a scoop of cooked red beans and milk on the ice ball. (1)

Read a short story, Reflections, in which the ice ball is mentioned.
