New AXS stations to replace ageing NETS kiosks here

Click logo to start tour

Mdm Kang's Kitchen Chilli Crab

About 10 - 20 AXS stations were installed at convenient locations across the island in a trial run which started in March 2001. Since then about 100 such web-enabled self-service kiosks have sprouted all over Singapore.

Just what do these AXS stations do?

Well, they are set to replace the ageing NETS kiosks by the end of this year. In fact, about 400 AXS stations are targeted for installation before the year is out. You will be able to find them at shopping malls, offices in the CBD, bus-stops, MRT stations, petrol stations and universities.

As many of us know, NETs kiosks enable us to pay fines, utilities, and telecoms bills using our NETs ATM cards. The new AXS stations promise more convenience for us. With them, we can:

  - pay fines, utilities and telecom bills

  - log on to Standard Chartered Bank online to check our account

  - top up our M1 card

  - make phone calls

  - book concert & other tickets via SISTIC online

  - give notification on overseas trips (MINDEF)

  - book IPPT test dates (MINDEF)

  - send e-mail & SMS messages

  - check our CPF account details

  - use our cashcards, in addition to NETS ATM cards, to carry out the transactions.

  - and more.....

However, CPF members who need statement of accounts for loan and other purposes should print the statement off their computer or go directly to any CPF branch. This is because the AXS station provides small printouts which are similar in size to those churned out by ATM machines currently.

These stations come to you courtesy of AXS Infocomm Pte Ltd, a joint-venture between Network For Electronic Transfers (S) Pte Ltd (NETS) and Primefield Pte Ltd, a local computer distributor & systems integrator.

With the formation of Keppel TatLee Bank and the acquisition of POSBank by DBS Bank, NETS' current shareholder banks are DBS Bank, Keppel TatLee Bank, OCBC Bank, Overseas Union Bank and United Overseas Bank. For more information, click HERE!
