Mdm Kang's Kitchen Chilli Crab

  Gifted 12-year-old Keegan NG of Victoria School makes his concerto debut with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) this July 13 & 14 at 8.15pm at Victoria Concert Hall.

  Keegan, who is currently also on the Gifted Young Pianist Course of the School of Young Talent at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, will be playing Mozart's spirited Piano Concerto No. 21. 

  The evening also sees 22-year-old LIM Chun playing Walton's Viola Concerto. LIM Chun is the former Principal Violist with the Singapore Youth Orchestra and the Asian Youth Orchestra's concert tour of 1997. The concerts are part of the President's Young Performers Series under the patronage of President S.R. Nathan. LIM Yau is the conductor.

The China Beijing Opera

The Beijing Opera Troupe will radically alter any preconceived notions that the artform is meant for Chinese- speaking grandads and grandmas. Instead, this highly-acclaimed troupe has modernised China's age-old theatrical art with an adrenaline rush that captivates audiences from all walks of life, young or old.

The performance in Singapore will highlight six of the great Chinese classics, as well as a full-length feature of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. To fully appreciate the vibrant performance, pay attention to the remarkable acrobatics, face painting and the art of the glance (eye movements).
