Singapore Learning Festival

Spanning an area of over 6,110 sq m, the EXPO comprises a series of pavilions featuring exhibitors according to the type of products or services they offer. These will feature:
*Learning Providers Pavilion -
academic and industry-based institutes,
universities and training schools
*Public Service Pavilion - learning
and training courses by Government
ministries and departments
*Learning Consultants Pavilion -
services by leading training consultancy
organisations
*Online Learning Pavilion - training
and development programmes offered by
organisations on the Internet
*Learning Aids Pavilion - products,
technologies and services that aids the
learning process
Visitors can take themed journeys to explore this showcase of the
latest
training programmes, learning-related technologies, educational resources,
products and services under one roof. They will also learn how best
to exploit
the capabilities of education and training providers and consultants; as
well
as efforts of progressive organisations in the area of workforce
development
and training for their betterment.
The Learning EXPO is also
where visitors will be able to sample and sign up
for the latest courses - IT, management and human resource development -
by
academic and industry-based institutes and training schools and providers
of
self-learning, as well as get tips from learning consultants.
Among the more than 50 exhibitors are National Library Board,
Singapore
Institute of Management, Institute of Technical Education, Ministry of
Community Development and Sports, Nanyang Technological University,
National University of Singapore, Singapore Management University,
Singapore
Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, EDNOVATION,
INFORMATICS, The British Council, Learning Capital, Trainerslink and a
host of others. Some of the key product and technology highlights of
exhibiting organisations are outlined in Appendix B.
More than 30,000 Singaporeans, including working adults, students,
school
leavers, human resource professionals, training development managers, and
educators are expected to visit and benefit from the exhibition over the
three
days. The EXPO is open from 10 am to 8 pm daily and admission is
free.
