New website speed.com.sg is being launched at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza. It offers auction services for used cars. Sellers and buyers can log on to the website and register to participate.

  So far, 25 vehicles have been put up for e-auction. Only two come from direct sellers; the rest are put up for auction by three dealers. 

  If e-auction is not to your liking, you can always post a classified ad at the website. Those of you who wish to rent cars can register your booking dates through it. The rental cars are provided by Prime Leasing Car Rental. 

  Besides this service, visitors can use the website to look up car repair workshops, financing, and insurance. Click speed.com.sg to visit.

Auto Asia's managing director, David Koh Beng Oon, 51, was yesterday acquitted of 12 charges of criminal breach of trust. He had been accused of dishonestly misappropriating car log cards and PARF certificates that customers had entrusted to him. But he still faces 35 charges of CBT and cheating.
