HDB Launches Treetops @
Punggol Under The Build-To-Order (BTO) System |
|
HDB is launching its first Eco-Precinct,
Treetops @ Punggol (ÂÌܰԷ), under the Build-To-Order (BTO) System, today
(27 Mar 2007). The development is expected to be completed in 2011. |
The application period is from 28 Mar 07
(Wed) to 17 Apr 07 (Tues). Details of the application procedures are at
Annex 1. |
Location |
Located at the junction of Punggol
Road, Punggol Drive and Punggol Place, Treetops @ Punggol is just
a few minutes¡¯ walk from the Punggol MRT station and the Damai LRT
station. Residents will also be well served by the public bus
transport network. |
Residents at Treetops @ Punggol will
enjoy convenient access to commercial facilities. The development
is also within close proximity to the future Punggol Town Centre
and the future sports complex. |
Features |
Treetops @ Punggol consists of 712
units of Premium flats housed in seven 16-storey residential
blocks. There are 98 units of 3-room flats, 600 units of 4-room
flats and 14 units of 5-room loft units. |
Unique to this eco-precinct is the
5-room loft unit which features a double-volume living room and an
open terrace that can be converted into a sky garden. |
The development will incorporate a
range of green technologies and innovations for effective energy,
water and waste management. |
These include solar panels to generate
lighting for common areas, centralised recyclable refuse chutes
and a rainwater collection system. |
Parking facilities and services will
be located at the podium level, hence providing residents with
direct and convenient access to their apartments. |
Above the podium car park is a
vehicular-free area called the Eco-Deck. Planted with lush
greenery, the Eco-Deck is an enhanced green lung for the precinct,
where residents can interact and enjoy the eco-lifestyle. |
Residents can look forward to a
well-shaded jogging path, exercise stations for the elderly and a
children¡¯s playground made from recycled materials. There will
also be a precinct pavilion and a community garden. |
Intensified greenery at the Eco-Deck,
vertical greening along the columns of the residential blocks, and
green roofs at the roof decks will help to cool down the ambient
temperature, while beautifying the precinct environment. |
Conditions for purchase of flats |
All units (including the 3-room,
4-room and 5-room loft units) at Treetops @ Punggol are open for
application to households with a gross monthly income of up to
$8,000. |
The usual eligibility conditions for
purchase of new HDB flats, such as citizenship, family nucleus and
non-ownership of private residential properties are also
applicable. |
First-timer families whose average
gross monthly household income is $3,000 or less and have been in
continuous employment for the past 2 years at the time of flat
application, will also be eligible for an Additional Housing Grant
of between $5,000 and $20,000 to assist them in their purchase of
a flat. |
HDB rental tenants who are
first-timers and have lived in their rental flats for a minimum of
2 years may apply for a 3-room flat under the Tenants¡¯ Priority
Scheme, if their gross monthly income does not exceed $3,000.
Those with higher income or who would like to apply for larger
flats will not be eligible for any priority under this scheme. |
Optional Components Scheme |
Treetops @ Punggol is a Premium
contract and all the flats will be provided with full floor
finishes and colour-coordinated sanitary ware. |
Buyers can opt to have the internal
doors installed in their flats under the Optional Components
Scheme. They only need to pay an additional $1,500 for 3-room
flats or $1,900 for 4- / 5-room flats. This additional sum will be
added to the selling price of the flat. |
BTO Exhibition |
HDB will hold a BTO exhibition at the
Sales Display Area of the HDB Hub. Information about the
development, 3D models and the finishes provided will be
showcased. |
Interested applicants can collect the
