Leap into the Arts with us!

5 ¨C 16 Jun 2006

Fun for all in June
Come June 5 ¨C 16, watch your children as they create and bring you into the magical world of elves and a rabbit hole! We have two very specially designed June Holiday workshops for children, which will teach them skills in confidence building, expressiveness, role play, improvisation and more.
At the end of the workshops, children will be given the chance to present their delightful performance to parents! This helps to build up their confidence, while giving parents the chance to see if their child enjoys drama and theatre.
Says Ruby Lim-Yang, Artistic Director of ACT 3 International, ¡°Children learn best through fun and play, and that is exactly what our Holiday Workshops do. They encourage children to open up through the use of various Drama tools like role playing, story dramatization and movement, supported by a variety of stimuli such as music and stories to get children to play.¡±
Our 2 Very Exciting Workshops
Elves and the Shoemaker
For 3 to 4 year olds, we present ¡°Elves and the Shoemaker¡±. This is a tale about kindness and good deeds from the imaginative Brothers Grimm that will be performed by the little ones!
An adaptation of the timeless classic, we meet the characters of the kindly shoemaker and his wife, the evil landlord who is the villain and not forgetting our little heroes, the Elves, who set things right by making beautiful shoes for the kind shoemaker.
Alice in Wonderland
5 to 10 year olds will be brought into the colorful world of ¡°Alice in Wonderland¡±. Based on the Lewis Carroll classic, the workshop is structured closely to the tale of Alice disappearing into a rabbit hole after the White Rabbit, and encountering the multitude of characters which include the Cheshire Cat, the Mad Hatter and the March Hare and of course, the beloved Queen, along with other characters.
The workshop is held daily from Monday to Friday with a presentation on Saturday for parents. Choose the date that best suits your child.
Dates: June 5 to 9 (Mon - Fri) OR June 12 to 16 (Mon - Fri)
