The public can apply for
this year’s National Day Parade tickets from Fri 4
Jun 04 to Sun 13 Jun 04, through Short Message Service (SMS), telephone, the
NDP website ( www.ndp.org.sg
),
AXS stations and SAM machines. (The location of the terminals can be found on www.axs.com.sg
and www.singpost.com.sg
respectively.)

Selection will be through an
electronic ballot, and successful applicants will be notified by telephone.
|
|
The balloting system is adopted
again this year as it was efficient and well received last year. The
application system is very convenient and easily accessible.
|
|
Eligibility & Application
|
|
The application for tickets is
open only to Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. Given the
high level of interest in NDP tickets and the limited seating capacity in the
National Stadium, the ballot is designed such that Singapore Citizens will
have twice the probability of success compared to Permanent Residents.
|
|
Each person is entitled to one
application only. However, the application can be for either two, four or six
tickets. If more tickets are applied for, the probability of the application
succeeding is proportionately lower. Applicants can choose tickets for the
Preview on Sat 31 July 04, or NDP 2004 on Mon 9 August 04.

Notification & Collection
|
|
Once applications have closed, a
ballot will be conducted in the presence of auditors from
PriceWaterhouseCoopers Singapore. Successful applicants will be notified by
telephone between Thurs, 24 Jun 04 and Wed, 30 Jun 04. They can collect their
tickets at New Millenia Walk Level 2, from Fri 2 Jul 04 to Sun 11 Jul 04, 9am
to 9pm daily.

The public can also obtain NDP
2004 tickets through contests on the NDP website and in the local print and
broadcast media. For any enquiries or feedback, the public can call 1800-NDP
