  Asian Entrepreneur's last issue - Mar/Apr 2001

RESURGENT AE

C.J. HWU

Asian Entrepreneur was launched two years ago to be a trusty companion for those who take the road less travelled. Over time, we have developed a faithful and vocal following and we are proud to have been at the forefront of a trend towards recognising and legitimising the role of entrepreneurship in the economy and society.

However, just as our readers have grown and evolved, it is time we re-evaluate our direction and incorporate other aspects of business within our pages in order to stay relevant and commercially viable.

We believe there is a niche for a magazine like Asian Entrepreneur, and there are many who are of the same opinion, including T.K. WONG, chairman of the Silkroute Group and one of Asian Entrepreneur's valued advisors.  "When you think about the need for such a magazine - it's so obvious," he says, "Insurgents need fuel and inspiration."

While we will continue to provide food for thought and inspiration for the young and struggling, we will also place more emphasis on thought leaders, policymakers and trendsetters - a healthy balance of which is necessary for a sound business economy and we believe, for a sound business magazine.

So look out for the insurgent and resurgent in the new "AE" in May.

At getforme.com, we preserve the present for the future generation.
