     Yesterday, One.99 shop's latest branch opened at Lucky Plaza in Orchard Road. They now have nine branches altogether.

     For those not in the know, One.99 shop sells things ranging from confectionery, household goods, stationery, and knick-knacks to cuddly toys - all at a standard price of S$1.99 each.

     One.99 shop was the first to set up shop in Singapore using this concept so it is the original One.99 shop. Because of its success, new shops sporting this concept have sprouted in shopping centres around the island.

      GET FOR ME: Save the ACS (Anglo Chinese School) clock tower

     Two weeks from today, the 50 year-old ACS clock tower at Barker Road will be demolished in the process of rebuilding the campus.

     Some old boys of ACS are trying their level best to rally other old boys from around the world to sign a petition to appeal to the board of governors to reconsider its plan to get rid of the clock tower.

     If you are an old ACS boy, you can support their cause by visiting their website to register your name in their petition.

     So far, old boys from as far away as Japan, Britain and Australia have given their support.
