Police are investigating a false call of a
bomb threat that was made on 17 August 2007 at about 11.16 pm from a
public telephone at the Concourse Area of Outram Park MRT Interchange
(East West Line). |
Police seek information on the identities
and whereabouts of the two persons shown in the photographs attached who
can assist Police in investigations. |
Anyone who has any information on the
identities or whereabouts of the two subjects can call the Police
Hotline at 1800-255 0000. |
The descriptions of the two persons are as
follows: |

A male, believed to be Malay, between 15 to
20 years of age with short combed hair and a mole below his left eye. He
is slim built and was wearing a black long-sleeved jacket with three
white stripes along the sleeves and blue jeans. |

A male, believed to be Malay, between
15 to 20 years of age, plump built, with a tanned complexion. He
spots short hair and wore a red short- sleeved round neck t-shirt
and dark coloured jeans. |

Update on Appeal for Information on
Bomb Hoax Call |
Police have arrested two teenage boys
in connection with the bomb hoax call made from the concourse area
of Outram Park MRT station on 17 August 2007. |
A 13-year-old boy was arrested after
his parents saw his picture carried in the news. He surrendered to
the police and his friend, a 15-year-old boy was arrested shortly
after. |
After careful consideration of the
facts and circumstances of the case, and in consultation with the
Attorney-General¨s Chambers, no further action will be taken
against the 13-year-old boy. |
The 15-year-old boy will be charged in
the Juvenile court on 24 August 2007 at 9am for an offence of
transmitting false message that makes reference to a bomb under
Section 45(a) of the Telecommunication Act, Chapter 323. |
