CG Overdrive 2006 Announces
Call For Entries to CG Overdrive Digital Festival |

Overdrive 2006 announces its Call For
Entries to the inaugural CG Overdrive Digital Festival, to be held in
conjunction with the CG Overdrive Conference and Festival in Singapore
at the Singapore Expo from 14 ¨C 16 July 2006 (Friday - Sunday). |
|
The international digital festival
recognizes the best works in two categories - Computer Animation and
Digital Art - and invites animators, computer artists, digital
filmmakers, graphic designers, professional studios and students from
all over the world to submit their works for short-listing. |
|
¡°This is an exceptional opportunity to show
your computer animation and digital artwork to CG industry¡¯s biggest
names to gain international recognition, not forgetting the immense
exposure to thousands of delegates coming from all over the world,¡±
exclaimed Sen Lai, one of the judges for CG Overdrive Digital Festival. |
|
The best takes all, as not only will the
handpicked computer animation short films be screened alongside some of
the greatest works from Polygon Pictures at CG Overdrive, they will also
stand a chance to be showcased on MTVAsia.com (www.mtvasia.com). |
|
Outstanding digital artworks will be
compiled into a limited edition postcard collection. Short-listed
participants will receive a CG Excellence Trophy and a Certificate of CG
Excellence endorsed by the celebrity judges. |

Participants can submit entries through 27
May 2006 with the finalists contacted by 1 July 2006. For additional

About CG Overdrive |
|
CG Overdrive 2006, slated to be Asia¡¯s
largest computer graphics and animation conference and festival will
hold its inaugural event in Singapore at the Singapore Expo from 14
¨C 16 July 2006 (Friday - Sunday). |
|
A conduit for the constellation of the
finest 3D digital artists from Hollywood and Asia, it is an
initiative to raise the quality standards and profile of Asian¡¯s
Digital Animation and Computer Graphics industry. |

The event will serve as a catalyst to
attract more talents into the industry and to raise the level of
awareness of CG and digital media art in Asia. |
|
The event is initiated by 3dsense Media
School, the leading Media Institution in Asia known for its
professional training in Digital Animation and Interactive Visual
Arts and will be an annual show anchored in Singapore beginning in
the Year 2006. |
