US President¡¯s Visit to Singapore

Police Advisory for US President¡¯s Visit to Singapore

The President of the United States, President George W Bush, and the First Lady, Mrs Laura Bush, will be on a 2-day official visit to Singapore, from 16 ¨C 17 November 2006.
To ensure safety and security for the visit, appropriate security measures will be put in place.
A key security measure is the closure of certain roads and expressways to traffic during the movement of the US Presidential motorcade.
Although the duration of the road closure will be kept to a minimum, traffic delays can be expected and motorists are advised to plan for more time to make their journeys.
For security reasons, the details of the affected roads will only be publicised over radio broadcasts on 16 and 17 Nov 2006.
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and to comply with the directions of police officers deployed along the affected roads.
We seek the public¡¯s understanding and cooperation.
