A body of a young girl, believed to be
Nurasyuna bte Mohamed Fauzi, who was reported missing on Wednesday, 1
March 06, was recovered by Police this afternoon under the Aljunied
flyover along PIE. |
In the course of investigation, Police
conducted a search at the area under the flyover at 1.30pm. |
At about 4pm the nude body of a female
toddler with shoulder length hair was found under the lowest portion of
the flyover which was less than half a metre high. |
The body was covered with litter and debris. |
A 30-year-old Malay man, who is the
stepfather of the missing subject, has been arrested by Police. He will
be charged in court on Monday for murder. |

Police are appealing for information on
the whereabouts of a two -year-old girl, Nurasyuna bte Mohamed, who
was reported missing by her mother on 1 March 2006. She was last
seen at her home at the ground floor unit of Blk 62, Circuit Road . |
At home with her grandfather then, she
was discovered missing after he had finished his prayers. It is
believed that the back door of the unit was left open at that time. |
Police have been deployed to search for
her since last night. Efforts by her family to locate her had also
not been successful. |
