Ladyfest (Singapore) - PERFORMANCE ART,
VIDEO ART & PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION will open at the new art space
instinc, located at 271C New Bridge Road, from 16 Sept 2005 to 30 Sept
2005. |

LadyFest Singapore (previously known as
GirlFest Singapore) is a non-profit group that aims to provide the
artistic Singaporean Lady Scene of the past, present and future a place
to call their own. |
|
The group aims to recognize and be a
platform for female talent in Singapore. Musical events organized by the
group will feature/have been featuring local musical groups that have
one or more female talents. |
|
This year LadyFest Singapore is
collaborating with Coulere Studios (Arts & Design company) in promoting
the arts; photography, art performance, video works and poetry. |
|
A group of photographers, video artists and
performance artists will display their works surrounding the theme Ħ°DoĦħ. |
|
The artists are Tang Ling Nah, Geogianna
Phua, Andree Weschler, Marienne Yang, Ling, Dewi Marie Vincoy, Nurr and
Yeo Shih Yun from Singapore. |
|
There will be two performance artists, Rose
A Rahim and guitarist, Shima Idris both from Singapore. |
|
In addition, there are overseas artists like
Louise Dahl-Lindvall (Sweden), Angel Zhou (Indonesia) and Peng-Ean
Khoo (Malaysia). |
