From September 3rd to 11th 2005, during the
school holidays, ACT 3 International will be presenting an incredible
Magic Theatre Fiesta showcasing the amazing talents and unwavering
passion of three accomplished conjurers of illusion from three
Asia-Pacific countries. |
|
Staged at ACT 3 Theatre in ONE-TO-SIX
Cairnhill Arts Centre, it will be magic, action and comedy all stacked
up to make you gasp, marvel and chortle! |
|
Each of the three performers will inject his
exclusive brand of magic into one fantastic celebration of magic as a
performance art. |
|
Anyone aged four to ninety-four will be
enthralled by Korean Hong Joon Pyo¡¯s sleek, smooth and classy style,
Australia¡¯s most seriously funny magician, Brad Manuel, and Singapore¡¯s
own spellbinding star, Kien. |

How Did You Do That? ¨C Magic Workshops
for Children |

All hands on deck! You too can do the
impossible! |

Older children aged seven to thirteen who
want to truly experience the magic can choose one out of two different
two-hour workshops conducted by Brad Manuel of Australia and Kien of
Singapore. |

See what they have up their sleeves with
Magic Cards to a Magic Box of Apparatus. Perfect for those who crave to
impress their friends and family alike! |
|
Participants will relish Kien¡¯s Magic Set as
he teaches with step-by-step and clear instructions on how to stage
tricks which use ropes and rings to make knots disappear and remove
rings. |
|
Using colourful blocks, Kien Magic Colours
trick aims to open up the children¡¯s minds to think out of the box and
astound audiences with only a simple apparatus. |
|
And crack the next magic mystery by learning
how to push a pencil through a piece of glass without breaking it! |

Pick up the finer points of Brad Manuel¡¯s
comic genius in his workshops to blow your audience away with some
mind-boggling card and dice tricks. |

skills and theatrical techniques, all three demonstrate in their unique
and brilliant way that magic in its truest form is an art. |

Mrs. Ruby Lim-Yang, Artistic Director of ACT
3 International, compares the craft of a magic artiste to that of an
actor, juggler and singer. |

ACT 3 International¡¯s experience with
children has also shown that their young audiences do not show up at a
show just to watch it. They want to be in it! |
