The Ministry of Education will be
releasing the posting results for the 2005 Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE) on
22 Mar 2005 at 8 am. Students can obtain their posting results through the
following means: |
a. Through the Internet, at
the website
http://www.moe.gov.sg/esp/schadm/jae; or |
b. By calling the MOE
Hotline, at telephone number: 6691-2131 |
c. Posting lists will be
displayed at the junior colleges (JCs) and Millennia Institute (MI) for
the reference of students currently attending these institutions. |
d. All applicants will also
receive a hardcopy of their posting results by mail on or after 22 Mar
2005. |
|
Students currently in a Junior College or
Millennia Institute are advised to check their posting results at their
respective institutions. |
Candidates posted to Junior Colleges and Millennia
Institute should report to the JCs or MI on 23 Mar 2005 at 7.30 am. Candidates
posted to a Polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) course will
receive further instructions and an enrolment package from the respective
institutions by mail. |
Applicants who wish to appeal for a transfer to
another JC, Polytechnic, ITE or the MI should approach the institution of
their choice directly. |
JAE Posting Results on the Internet |
There is no change this year in the channels by
which students can obtain their posting results. However, as the cohort this
year is about 15% larger than last year, MOE will be more than doubling the
internet server capacity, and also increasing the Interactive Voice Response
capacity by 20%. |
Further, internet access will be made available at
all the polytechnics and ITE campuses for applicants without internet access
at home. This is besides the JCs and Millenia Institute where students
attending them will be able to obtain their results. |
Past trends indicate that most applicants check
their posting results online within a two-hour period, resulting in many being
unable to access the system on first attempt. Notwithstanding the increase in
server capacity, MOE expects peak traffic to be high. |
To better manage this peak in demand and avoid
inconvenience to others, MOE would also like to seek the cooperation of
applicants to access their posting results online only once within the first
two hours. |
