The skater girl with the trademark loose tie,
Avril Lavigne, older now at 21 and decidedly with a more rock glam in image,
confirms 2 April 2005 as the day she headlines Singapore Indoor Stadium. |
|
An energetic, rebellious spirit, Avril Lavigne
began her career in 2002 through Arista Records with her singles "Complicated"
and "Sk8er Boi." Her debut album, Let Go, rocked the charts with "Anything But
Ordinary", "I'm With You", "Losing Grip", and "Unwanted". |
|
Avril's talent in songwriting was further proven
by her 2004 album Under My Skin with intense, dramatic tracks such as "Take Me
Away", "Don't Tell Me", and "He wasn't". |
|
Being voted as MTV Asia Award 2003's Favourite
Female Artist is one of many accolades Avril has received. She is
multi-talented. In addition to having mighty vocals, she writes songs, and
plays the guitar, piano and drums. |
|
She is also outspoken on her extreme dislike for
lip-synching, reportedly saying the whole theatrics is lame and not cool. |
|
Avril Ramona Lavigne was born in Napanee, Ontario,
Canada on 27 September 1984. She climbed to the top of the ranks from her
debut album with her pop-rock sound and anti-Britney image. |
|
Having spent time co-writing with fellow Canadian
artist Chantal Kreviazuk and after a whirlwind world-wide tour, she was back
in the studio. It was then, the second album, Under My Skin was born. |
|
Other confirmed dates of the Bonez Tour include,
Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Manila and Jakarta. |
