With enough angst and spiked hair for the fervent
crowd to go mad, Good Charlotte will headline their punk anthem for the first
time in Singapore. The tour is christened "Noise to the World 2005". |
The concert is in support of their third album,
"The Chronicles of Life and Death," released in October 2004, debuted at No. 3
on The Billboard 200 album chart and its three new singles, ""Predictable", "I
Just Wanna Live" and "We Believe" climbing up the charts in Singapore. |
Their claim to fame started in 2002 when their
second album " The Young and the Hopeless" spawned brash hits such as "Anthem"
and "Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous" and "Hold On". |
Inspired by Rancid, Minor Threat, the Cure, the
Smiths as well as Muse, Good Charlotte are twin brothers Benji (guitar) and
Joel Madden (lead vocals), Billy Martin (guitars, keyboards) and Paul Thomas
(bass). |
Through sheer commitment and hard work, the band
builds an avid fan base by touring intensively and connecting with their
supporters. |
Honesty is the thread that binds Good Charlotte to
their devoted fans. "I don't think we're better than any other band," says
Benji, "although I do think we're more sincere, more real, than some of them.
We want to be judged for what we're really doing, not put in a genre with a
bunch of other bands with which we have nothing in common. |
The quartet not only calls the shots when it comes
to creating its music, but its videos, album artwork and stage sets as well. |
Noise to the World Tour dates are also scheduled
for Japan, Manila, Bangkok and Jakarta. |
