|
After a week-long of toil, tension
and anxiety, Abdul Rahman Bin Selamat and Zaiton Majid (Team 17) dominated the
other 18 remaining teams representing Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, South
Korea and Hong Kong and were crowned the winners of Asia's first reality
challenge on a cable car, 'Surviving the Sky', which ended at 12 noon on 23
Mar 2004.
|
The winning team will walk away
with the S$50,000 grand prize, comprising of S$20,000 cash and a 7-day cruise
around the Mediterranean Sea (worth S$30,000), sponsored by Costa Stars. They
will enjoy the special ambience on an immaculately run ship after a tough week
in the cable car.

they are the winners of the grand prize!

"Through the challenge, teams
bonded with each other, formed new friendships, strengthened family
relationships and learnt to appreciate the little things in life. I am very
pleased that this event has made such an impact to all involved. It was heart
warming to see so many supporters (friends and family and even members of the
public) come down to cheer and encourage the teams," said Mr Soo Kok Leng,
Chairman of Singapore Cable Car (Pte) Ltd.
|
"I would like to take this
opportunity to congratulate all participants in being the pioneer group in
this 'Surviving the Sky' Challenge and for being a good sport. You are all
winners in your own way. You have persevered through the 7 days and 'survived'
the boredom, vertigo, claustrophobia and more."
|
Commenting on the sponsorship, Mr
Soo said: "We would like to thank all our sponsors for their kind
generosity and support towards our 30th anniversary celebrations."
