Exhibitors Reveal Products to Be
Showcased at Asia's Foremost Boat Show
Boat Asia's exhibitors have
released details of some of the yachts that will be arrayed at Boat Asia 2005.
Ferretti Group, Riviera, Lee
Marine, Simpson Marine and MBR have all confirmed that some of their hottest
new models - now making waves on the international scene - are likely to be
featured at the show.
An 'on-water' exhibition, Boat
Asia takes place in Singapore from 14-17 April 2005, organised by Suntec
Integrated Media the exhibition arm of Suntec Singapore.
Said Suntec Integrated Media's
Director Roel van Leeuwen, "We're thrilled to see the full range of
different yacht products on show next year and clearly, already at this early
stage, we can see great variety and diversity developing. Whether customers
are browsing for a superb flybridge sports fishing boat, a high performance
boat, a sailing clipper, or a luxury motor cruiser with advanced and
fashionable styling and all the home comforts, you'll be able to see a
stunning selection of products at Boat Asia 2005."

Ferretti 500 |
Ferretti Group
Ferretti Group will reveal a
number of stunning designs at Boat Asia, including the Ferretti 500.
Innovative, sophisticated design; compact dimensions, that nonetheless include
space for a complete and comprehensively equipped flybridge: these are
significant features of the 500, one of the new Ferretti yachts for 2004.
A completely new design, this
motoryacht offers exceptional cruising performance. It combines the ease of
handling of a 50' craft with the comfort typical of larger yachts. The
interiors are exclusive and the salon is, in particular, large, bright,
comfortable yet practical.
The 500's manoeuvrability and
compact dimensions make it feasible to sail without a crew. However, there is
enough space for a crew cabin if required.
The Bertram 390 is a leader in the
40 ft. offshore convertible class. It combines real luxury in an exceptional
layout with the offshore range and incredible solid deep-V ride you expect
from a Bertram.
The Bertram 390 project aim was to
develop the best sportfishing boat in the 40 foot size range; to design a boat
at home in the Northeast Canyons and on the Bahamas Banks, as well as all the
other oceans and markets of the world - in short, a Bertram. Winner of the
European Yachts Trophy 2004, the high performance Pershing 50 will also be on
display from Ferretti Group.

Riviera R51 |
Riviera and Lee Marine
Thailand-based Lee Marine, the
distributor for Australian brand Riviera, will display the latest Riviera
flybridge convertible to make waves in the region, the Riviera R51.
The R51 challenges the burgeoning
express and motoryacht market. The biggest Riviera, it is a lifestyle
accoutrement and comfortable floating home. But the big attraction is 'the
magic carpet in the sky'.
If the sportscruisers deck is a
balcony, then Riviera's 51 flybridge is a roof top terrace with views as far
as the eye can see. It is a lifestyle centre that looks down on the open-deckers
at water level. With five-star amenities, you can cruise, muse and enjoy the
views from the top storey.
With twin 700 hp Caterpillars,
keyless ignition and the 8 hp bow thrusters, the R51 is a user friendly drive.
A lot of effort has gone into making this Riviera a superb fishing boat.
Aside from a generous amount of
floor space and raised combing height, the cockpit is positioned a desirable
distance from the water. The helm station is well aft for a big view when
fighting fish, while the Marlin door is a new outward opening design with a
much improved seal when backing-up.
Azimut 68 |
Simpson Marine (SEA) Pte Ltd
Leading the charge for Hong Kong
and Singapore-based Simpson Marine will be the Azimut 68.
With her long flowing lines and a
beam of 5.50 meters, the Azimut 68 is certainly something new and different. A
powerful, flybridge motor yacht with stunning good looks, she dazzles everyone
with her amazing performance and superb accommodations including a mid-ship
full beam Master Suite.
US brand Sea Ray will also be well
represented at Boat Asia 2005, with two models: the Sea Ray 335 and 355
Sundancer.
The Sundancer range has all the
comforts of home with mobility. With its extra-large V-berth, fully equipped
galley and spacious salon, the 335 Sundancer is more than just a
home-away-from-home; it's also a powerful sport cruiser. Its twin 5.0 MPI
Bravo© II MerCruiser© sterndrives will get you wherever you're going in a
hurry!
The 355 Sundancer meanwhile
provides additional living and storage space. Serious captains will appreciate
its cockpit crammed with SmartCraft™ diagnostics, waterproof electronic
switchpads and plenty of space for additional electronics.
On a more sedate note, Simpson
Marine will also be displaying a thoroughbred sailing yacht, the Bénéteau
Océanis 423 Clipper.
In the wake of the fabulous
Océanis 411, the Océanis 423 features the latest innovation by Bénéteau in
the field of cruising pleasure: exceptional lighting thanks to the panoramic
hatch and a 2.10 meter headroom in the saloon, owner's island berth, en suite
heads with separate shower in the fore cabin and a deck plan designed for
utmost pleasure under sail or at anchor. In fact, everything you need for a
fun-filled family cruise.

Princess V70 |
Marina Bahari Raya Pte Ltd (MBR)
Singapore-based brokerage MBR will
showcase Princess Yachts International's newest and largest of the V Class
Sports Yacht range, the all new Princess V70.
The V70 epitomises the
'performance without compromise' philosophy. Powered by twin diesel duoprop
sterndrives, her performance is pure V Class. The saloon incorporates a large
seating area, cocktail bar and beautifully crafted galley.
The owner's stateroom has an
en-suite bathroom and the surprisingly large cabin aft has its own washing
facilities. The twin sunbeds on the aft deck lead to an open air cockpit and
dining area including a wet bar/BBQ whilst twin garages give storage for both
a tender and wetbike. Triple glass doors open up the cockpit to an
exceptionally spacious deck saloon where the hard top enables the enjoyment of
the outdoors under the sun or the stars.
In addition to boat exhibits from
the abovementioned manufacturers, Boat Asia will include static and booth
exhibitions by other yacht brands such as Luerssen Yachts, Sunseeker Asia
Limited and Starship Yachts.
Preparations for Boat Asia 2005
are well underway and the organisers have aggressively promoted the show
around the region and also internationally.
Sales and awareness drives have
been conducted at SEAS in Nice, the Beirut Boat Show in Lebanon, MAATS in Las
Vegas, USA and the Sydney Boat Show 2004, complementing an earlier visit to
the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show at which major boat exhibitors including Riviera
had already been successfully signed. Boat Asia 2004, held in April this year,
drew visitors from 44 countries and showcased 76 exhibitors from over 15
countries.
