As part of the Festival Mexicano 2004 celebrations in Singapore, the traditional Mariachi Band & Folkloric Dance Troupe
will be performing at Chijmes Fountain Court on Saturday 11 Sep 2004 from
8.30pm onwards.

An annual event organised by the Embassy of Mexico,
Festival Mexicano aims to introduce cultural richness and historical traditions of Mexico to locals and residents in Singapore through dance, music, films, handicrafts, cuisine and tourism etc.

It is also to provide an opportunity for the Mexican expatriate communities to celebrate Mexico's Independence Day.

The Festival features ACHAI, a Mariachi music group comprising of twenty-four musicians and dancers. This is a cultural feast not to be missed.

The Mariachi Band and Folkloric Dance Troupe is more than just a group of musicians playing traditional Mexican music. Mariachi goes beyond music; it is a combination of history, culture, tradition, and spirituality that is uniquely Mexican.

Chijmes celebrates Festival Mexicano 2004
