The world's Number 1 men's
lifestyle magazine has landed on Singapore shores with the Maxim Singapore
masthead. Its first issue hit the streets yesterday.

In May 2004, right on the heels of
announcing its new China and Hong Kong editions, Maxim magazine said it would
be launching its Singapore edition in the third quarter of this year.

Maxim is the #1 men's lifestyle
magazine in the United States and the world.
|
The
monthly Singapore edition will have a circulation of at least 45,000 when it
launches. This edition marks the magazine's 24th international edition
launched in 35 countries in eight years.

Maxim maintains its #1 global
position in the men's general interest category, with a growing international
readership of over 17 million and four million copies sold each month. In
December, Maxim was named one of the top 10 international media brands by
Campaign magazine.

Singapore's edition of Maxim is
licensed exclusively to SPH Magazines Pte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of
the Singapore Press Holdings Group. SPH Magazines also publishes Her World,
Her World Body, Her World Brides, Shape, Home and Decor, Young Parents and
Inspirational Homes.

"Maxim is publishing
dynamite," says the magazine's international publishing director Kerin
O'Connor. "In just 10 years, the magazine has scorched a trail around the
world with knock-out editorial, creating an enviable rise in partnership with
the top licensees in the business."

earth shattering launch for us," says SPH Magazines managing director
David Tay. "Singapore is a great and expanding magazine market, where the
men's magazine segment has been relatively neglected. With the changing
habits, lifestyle and 'internationalisation' of the average male Singaporean,
it's an opportune time for such a magazine here, especially since the name
'Maxim' is already on everybody's lips."

With a guaranteed rate base of 2.5
million issues in the United States, Maxim is the largest men's lifestyle
magazine in America, more than doubling the number of its nearest competitor.
A spectacular launch party will be held at a premier spot in Singapore to
officially launch the new edition of Maxim.
