Following
the success of its first visit to Singapore last year, the UBS Verbier
Festival Orchestra will return for another performance on Monday, 1 Nov 2004
at the Esplanade Concert Hall at 8.15pm.

Under
the baton of Charles Dutoit, the Orchestra will accompany violinist, Julian
Rachlin, who will perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto.
|
|
The
Singapore concert is part of the 2004 tour of Asia that will also take the UBS
Verbier Festival Orchestra to Hong Kong, Beijing and Tokyo with conductor
Charles Dutoit and soloists Julian Rachlin and Maxim Vengerov.
|
|
Prior
to its tour of Asia, the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra will visit Stockholm,
Brussels, Frankfurt, Zürich, St Gallen, Madrid and Turin with Neeme Järvi
and soloists Barbara Hendricks and Mikhail Pletnev from October 19 – 27.
|

UBS,
the global financial services firm, which was instrumental in the formation of
the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra in 2000, is extending its partnership with
the Orchestra to 2007.
