The Singapore Government's default
Web site, www.gov.sg, put a new look starting
from yesterday, 1 Oct 2004, for better
integration with the other major government gateways.
|
The Web site first came online in
1995. It underwent several revamps and adopted the brand name "SINGOV"
in 2001.
|
SINGOV serves
as a convenient first-stop portal for users to locate the latest Government
information such as news and policies.
|
It has
links to all sites with official information on the Singapore Government.
Since 1st Sep 2004, SINGOV has also become the first-stop gateway for the
public to locate crisis information provided by the government.
|
The Web site receives about 62,000
unique visitors with more than 300,000 pageviews for its homepage alone every
month. About 50% of visitors are from outside of Singapore.
|
SINGOV is maintained by the
National Marketing Department, Public Communications Division, MICA
- the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts.
