Donations
2. We encourage Singaporeans to channel their
assistance primarily through agencies such as the
Singapore Red Cross (SRC).
3. At this point in time, what is most needed in
the disaster hit areas are clean water and food,
medication, and proper sanitation. Medical personnel,
such as doctors and nurses, are also needed.
4. We encourage Singaporeans who want to help,
to give monetary donations. These donations can then be
used to buy much needed food and water supplies and
medication in the affected countries.
5. Singaporeans who have
specialised skills, such as doctors, nurses, can
also come forward to help. If you would like to offer
your expertise to help out in the affected countries,
you can register with the National Volunteer and
Philanthropy Centre, or NVPC in short. NVPC will then
discuss with you on how you can help.
