1. Take a stroll down
Penang Road, Somerset Road and Orchard Boulevard. These
roads lie on the back of Orchard Road. After
Orchard Boulevard, our tour will move on to Orchard Road, the
shopping heart of Singapore.

On the left is the new Regency House, which is yet to
be completed. It stretches up to the next junction. It is located
just after the former Cockpit Hotel building.

The right side of this part of Penang
Rd shows an open car park.
It is possible to see Orchard Road
which is just behind this car park.

This is the view of the car park further up the road.
You can see Orchard Road in the background.
The white building is the
Meridien Hotel along Orchard Road.

This is the view of the next junction.
Turning left or right brings you
to Oxley Road. A right turn will let you move into Orchard Road.
We will explore Oxley Road
another time. |

Turn left into Oxley Road, which leads to River Valley
Road.

|
|
Turn right, also into Oxley Road. This short part of
the road leads to Orchard Road. You can see the white Meridien Hotel building ahead. |
