Exploring Singapore
1. Take a stroll down Orchard
Road,
the shopping heart of
Singapore.

Turn around now. Have a look at the skyline.
The building with the curved canopy
is that of the new wing of Mandarin Hotel. The old wing is on the
right, partially hidden from view.

|
Turn around again.
This time we move to the left side of
Orchard Road. That's Midpoint Orchard on the left and Orchard
Emerald on the right.
Both are very small shopping centres. |
|
|
Farther down left is an open area for drinking beer.
Emerald Hill Road lies just behind
this open area.
|
|
Singapore's favourite shopping centre -
Centrepoint comes into view on the left of the road.
|
|
|
On the right of the road is a covered
walkway. The building behind it is the carpark of Phoenix Hotel.
