Clay Mural Workshop with Elaine Brewer-White, Canada
FUNNY MOODS
Imagine a patchwork quilt, but one that is made out
of clay. The mural is put
together with every participant contributing a tile. Each person
will make relief pictures on top of the tiles with clay. The clay
comes in a wide variety of colours, and with
each individual*s creative idea, a beautiful patchwork quilt will
emerge with little details to gaze at! With sculptor ELAINE BREWER at the helm
of the workshop, be amused and
intrigued at what sculpting with clay can do for self-discovery and
expression.
ELAINE BREWER (Canada) 每 sculptor, humorist.
Elaine*s works are represented by galleries across Canada, from New
York to Japan, and are featured in numerous corporate and private
collections. Her pieces take on a wide variety of shapes from the
small individual figures, which sit off the edge of furniture to
three dimensional wall murals. The humour in her work stems from her
10 years of experience performing with the Calgary and Vancouver
Theatresports Leagues where her improvisation training helped shape
her attitudes towards humor and love of the narrative.
