Yesterday, www.ejazz.com.sg launched their free com centre where you or I can sign up and get a telephone number with a 5-digit extension. Mine is 8901942 ext. 65806. With this, we can ask our friends to leave a message; it's like an auto answering service. We can retrieve this message from any telephone, using a 4-digit password. We also get an e-mail account free, like mine: getforme@ejazzmail.com . People can send e-mails to this address and we can retrieve their e-mails by telephoning our assigned telephone number and keying in our 5-digit extension. In fact, a computerised voice reads out our e-mails to us. Good, eh? Well, I am still trying to make out what the voice is saying. I think it goes a wee bit too fast for me to catch the gist of the e-mail message. Perhaps, with enough practice on my part, I just may understand the computerised accent used. By the time you get to read this, it should be fairly easy to get through to their website. I had a tough time yesterday, having spent the better part of the morning and early afternoon trying to finish setting up and testing my new account with them. I tried the various services. But I was puzzled when after I had paged my pager, it did not receive the paging and I was subsequently told on the screen that my pager number was not registered with SingTel. Premium (I think you have to pay for it) services on the cards are: fax messaging (The computerised voice can't read out your faxes) mobile phone messaging smartcall conference call Try them today! You get 5 megabytes of free space in your account. getforme their website: www.ejazz.com.sg
