beginning of Victoria Street and end at the first junction, which is the
junction of Victoria Street and Bras Basah Road. We will visit the rest
of Victoria Street another day.

That's the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus (CHIJ).
It's now known as CHIJMES.

This is the famous Gate Of Hope at which, in the old
days, babies were abandoned and it was through this door that
they were accepted by the sisters of CHIJ. |
