1. Take a stroll down Orchard
Road,
the shopping heart of
Singapore.

We
continue down Orchard Road. The new Atrium@Orchard building comes into
view on the left. Plaza Singapura, hidden from view, is just
before the Atrium@Orchard.

Plaza
Singapura shopping centre is seen on the left. It has been given a
facelift. The building has been around since 1974 and is a
popular spot among Singaporeans.

That's
the new fountain in front of Plaza Singapura.
|
|
If you look at the right of the road,
you will see a one-storey building. It is leased out as a food
outlet.
|
|
As we stroll farther down the road, we
see the new Atrium@Orchard - shopping centre cum two office towers.
|
|
Let's take a look across the road to the
right. That's Park Mall, formerly Supreme House, a shopping centre
cum office complex. The shops there sell mainly furnishings and
furniture. The road on the right of Orchard Road leads to
Penang Road.

Here's a clearer view of the road.
|
|
Now, turn back to the main road.We are
still walking on the left of Orchard Road. The main entrance of
Atrium@Orchard building comes into view. Oldham Lane is just at the end of
this building, behind the bus-stop.
