1. Take a stroll down Orchard
Road,
the shopping heart of
Singapore.

Directly
in front of us, at the junction, is the last part of Orchard Road
leading to the Istana, Plaza Singapore and McDonald House
buildings.
Orchard Plaza is partly hidden by
the trees on the left.

|
On
the right of the junction is Killiney Road. You can see the Winsland
Building in the background. |
|
|
We
walk straight ahead down Orchard Road. On the right of Orchard
Road is Killiney Road Post Office.
|
|
|
That's the view of Orchard Road just
after the junction.
|
|
|
As we stroll farther down the road, we
will arrive at a T-junction on the left. The road on the left is
Kramat Road. It leads to Hotels Grand Central and Supreme.

|
Turn left for a look at Kramat Road.
That's Hotel Grand Central on the right. The building on the left is
Orchard Plaza.
|
|
|
Now, turn back to the main road and walk
straight on.
|
|
|
The first building we see on the left of
the road is the Meridien Shopping Centre and hotel. The hotel is on the upper
levels of the shopping centre.
