1. Take a stroll down Orchard
Road,
the shopping heart of
Singapore.

As you walk farther down the right of Orchard Road, you
will see this fountain at the open space in front of Ngee Ann
City. |

Farther down the right of the road is the main entrance to
Takashimaya shopping centre, in Ngee Ann City.
Ngee Ann City is the current main
shopping attraction in Singapore. |

We are moving farther down the mall.
The end of Ngee Ann City comes into
view now.
The building behind Ngee Ann City
is that of Mandarin Hotel.

Turn around now.
That's the pedestrian mall we have
just walked past.
The tall blue building is Wisma
Atria's office block.

|
We have reached the first junction of
Orchard Road.
Turn left into Bideford Road, which
leads to the Cairnhill area - where you will find many private
apartment blocks.
That's Crown Prince Hotel on the
right.
