The
right side of Bras Basah Road shows an open field.
The whole stretch of fields, across
several roads we passed earlier, is being slated for redevelopment
into the Singapore Management University's city campus.
This
is the view of the next junction - Waterloo Street and Bras Basah
Road.
We are still on the right side of the
road.
Now, turn back and look at the
stretch of Bras Basah Road we just passed.
Turn and look to the left of the
junction. That's Waterloo Street - where you can find the famous
Goddess of Mercy Temple.
Turn to look at the right of the
junction. This is the upper end of Waterloo Street. It is not in use
now, to facilitate construction works for SMU.
Turn to the front. Straight ahead is the
last stretch of Bras Basah Road.
The Singapore Art Museum is on the
left.
Turn around for a last look at the road
we just passed.
Click on the logo
below to continue with the tour which will take us along Bras Basah Road right up to the junction at Victoria
Street.
