The new Tampines Central Community Centre, which will be ready in two years, will be the first of its kind. It will be situated in a commercial complex together with shops, a food court and offcie space. The CC will occupy the second and third floors.

Credit cards can now be used to pay for goods and services, up to S$500, at ministries and statutory boards that choose to offer the facility. There is no lower limit.

OCBC and DBS will slash their minimum payments on credit-card balances by half to 5% from next month.

Washington: All 19 US Marines aboard a new-technology military plane were killed on Saturday when it crashed during a training exercise, US military officials said. The MV 22 Osprey, a tilt rotor aircraft, can land and take off like a helicopter and once airborne, its engine nacelles can be converted to fixed-wing operations that enable it to fly as fast as a plane.
