Founded in 1876.

Started with 12 Malay boys under the name of Kampong Glam Malay Branch School and was commonly known as the Government English School.

Recorded an enrolment of 122 students in 1897.

Formed its own soccer team in 1897.

Moved to Victoria Street, near a bridge, in 1901 and renamed Victoria Bridge School.

Formed its sports club in 1915.

Clinched the top prize in the second inter-school soccer competition in 1928.

Moved to Tyrwhitt Road and renamed Victoria School in 1933.

Moved to Geylang Bahru Lane in 1984.
