Get for me:  New Sighting                   CURRENCY CONVERTER

Seen in Suntec City yesterday is the new e-station, where you can surf the net, play games or send e-mail. Flyers offering ½ hour free surfing were being distributed to passers-by to entice them into the centre. This free-surf offer ends on 14 Dec 1999. Perhaps, because it is new, it was quite empty with a sprinkling of customers at the various stations. A number of uniformed staff were on hand to guide the customers. e-station charges S$6.00 per hour during this debut period.

e-station is jointly owned by InfoNet and StarHub. About S$4 million has been spent on setting up the centre which boasts the very latest in computers. Note from the picture each station has an LCD panel. There are about 400 brand new computers to satisfy any netsurfer.

e-station opens daily from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm. It is located above Carrefour. There is a large new SingNet shop undergoing renovation just opposite the centre. The place is all boarded up. More news as soon as we get it.
