The revised Registers of Electors for the 23
Constituencies (14 Group Representation Constituencies and 9 Single
Member Constituencies) are currently open for public inspection at the
Elections Department and 104 Community Centres/Clubs (Inspection Centres)
in Singapore, and the 8 Singapore diplomatic missions (Overseas
Registration Centre) in Canberra, London, Beijing, Tokyo, Washington,
Hong Kong, Shanghai and San Francisco. |
Members of the public can also visit the Elections
Department¡¯s website (http://www.elections.gov.sg)
or the eCitizen Portal (www.ecitizen.gov.sg)
to check their names in the Registers of Electors. |
Singapore citizens who have yet to check the
Registers of Electors are advised to do so before the Chinese New Year
public holidays. |
Overseas Singaporeans who wish to apply for
registration to vote at any one of the 8 Singapore diplomatic missions
mentioned above can find out more information about overseas voting from
the Elections Department¡¯s website, where they can also download the
form for ¡°Application to be Overseas Elector¡±. |
Applications must be submitted to
Elections Department or any of the abovementioned missions by 6
February 2006, either by hand or by registered post. |
