The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA)
Dance Department will be presenting its 2006 graduation production,
REVOTA over three evenings, from 14 ¨C 16 April, at the NAFA Studio
Theatre. |
|
A fusion of the words ¡°Revolution¡± and
¡°Rotation¡±, REVOTA is an expression of how cosmic forces and phenomenon
can be reflected in the microcosmic rhythms of everyday life. It also
attempts to portray how change, growth and evolution are an essential
part of the process. |
|
The evening will showcase works
choreographed by the graduating class of 2006, as well as a new work by
NAFA Dance lecturer, Albert Tiong. |
|
The pieces embody the emphasis inherent in
NAFA¡¯s dance diploma programme, which is to encourage exploration and
innovation while, at the same time, staying rooted in the rich cultural
traditions of our Asian heritage. |
|

The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) is
widely recognised as Singapore¡¯s pre-eminent tertiary institution for
