The
results for ComGraph 2004 will be announced at the ComGraph Awards Ceremony,
to be held at the Singapore History Museum Auditorium on 29 June 2004, from
6.30pm to 8.30pm.

Mr.
Seto Lok Yin, Director of Industry Development, Media Development Authority is
the Guest-of-Honor.
|
Winners
for the five categories, including the inaugural Singapore Original Animation
(Open and Student), Computer Animation (Open and Student) and Digital Art,
will be presented with trophies, certificates and cash
prizes totalling S$15,000 sponsored by Media Development Authority and
attractive prizes ranging from the latest computer graphics software to
top-of-the-range graphics tablets, sponsored by Adobe, Discreet, Solutions3
and Wacom.

The
winning animation works in the Singapore Original Animation categories will
also stand a chance to be produced into an animation pilot for broadcast.
|
ComGraph
2004 will climax with an exhibition and screening featuring short-listed and
winning digital art and animation works from the competition,
to be staged at Funan - The IT Mall, Atrium (109
North Bridge Road) from 30 Jun to 4 Jul 2004. Exhibition hours are 11am to 7pm
daily. Admission is free to the public.

Look
forward to a collection of 40 outstanding digital art works created with
‘Fantasy’ as the theme and printed using EPSON Stylus Pro 4000 printer.
|
The
audience will also be treated to the screening of a dazzling compilation of
animation works created with varying digital tools and styles by award-winning
animators. These
exceptional
digital works from the best talents in the Asia Pacific region illustrate the
utilization of technology to explore new techniques of artistic expression.

Wacom,
Epson, Solutions3 and 3dsense Media School will also be conducting
demonstrations and workshops at the event. Experts will be on hand so the
audience can try out the latest animation software and technology.

ComGraph 2004 Online Showcase
& Voting Contest

From
15 Jun to 15 Jul 2004, the public can also enjoy all shortlisted entries of
Comgraph 2004 online through the award-winning Spectrum portal by StarHub.
Aimed to encourage public participation, the Spectrum portal will also feature
the ComGraph 2004 Online Voting Contest.

The
public can log on to starhub.com/spectrum
to view and vote for their favorite animation and digital art entries.
Attractive prizes including one Creative Computer Animation Program worth
$1900 and two Course Vouchers worth $200 each from 3dsense Media School, as
well as three sets of Cinema 4D R8.5 software worth $1600 each will be given
away to 3 lucky voters. This is the second year StarHub has been involved in
ComGraph to aid in the promotion of Digital Arts and Animation in Singapore.
