      HO Kah Wai  -  Puppeteer

A trained primary school teacher, is adept at performing and making puppets ¾ especially shadow puppets ¾ and is one of the co-founders of Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble.

Currently, he is a freelance performer, puppeteer, puppet designer and maker.

He has written and directed numerous children’s puppetry shows such as: Hugged the Trees (Toy Factory Theatre Ensemble, 1994), The Big Bully (The Finger Players, 1999) and Dragon Dance (The Finger Players, International Puppetry Festival in Seoul, Korea, 2000).

In 1995, he was invited by the Ministry of Information and the Arts to direct a traditional hand puppetry performance for the ASEAN Traditional Performing Arts Festival. He has also collaborated with many theatre companies in introducing puppetry into their performances, such as in Lao Jiu by TheatreWorks, Mr. Beng by Drama Box and The Magic Paintbrush by Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan.

He has also organised numerous workshops for children and teachers, in order to communicate the beauty of puppetry. To-date, Ne-zha is his biggest and most ambitious production.
