MAS Launches 2007 Singapore Identity Plan (Rustic Coast) Coin

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has launched a third set of coins to commemorate the Urban Redevelopment Authority¡¯s (URA) Identity Plan featuring Rustic Coast.
Coin Design
The coin designs are based on the four areas in the Rustic Coast cluster ¨C Changi Village, Pasir Ris Park, Pulau Ubin and Punggol Point & Coney Island. The obverse of the coins bears the Singapore Arms with the year 2007.
Limited Worldwide Mintage
The coins will be issued on Monday, 30 April 2007. The details of the coins are:

a) $1 Silver Proof Coin

17.30 grams of 999 fine silver with colour application. Mintage of 8,000 pieces per design only.

b) $1 Cupro-Nickel Proof-Like Coin

Proof-like condition with selective colour application. Mintage will be based on demand.

The 2007 Singapore Identity Plan Coins are also available in premium sets:

a) 4-in-1 Silver Proof Coin Set

Consists of 4 Silver Proof Coins featuring the four areas in theRustic Coast. Only 800 sets.

b)4-in-1 Cupro-Nickel Proof-Like Coin Set

Consists of 4 Cupro-Nickel Proof-Like Coins featuring the four areas in the Rustic Coast. Only 800 sets.

c) 8-in-1 Coin Set

Consists of 4 Silver Proof Coins and 4 Cupro-Nickel Proof-Like Coins featuring the four areas in the Rustic Coast.  Only 88 sets are available.
