The Media Development Authority (MDA) has
introduced a new "R18 (Cabaret)" rating to cater for cabaret-type
entertainment performances, which will be restricted to those aged 18
years and above. |
The new classification will take effect from
16 August 2006. |
However, the new classification will not
mean a blanket approval for all types of cabaret or live entertainment
acts. |
Each performance will still be assessed on
its own merit. |
In considering the new "R18 (Cabaret)"
classification, MDA reviewed the Crazy Horse revue in Singapore, which
has been performing for about eight months now. |
The new entry age limit is similar to the
Crazy Horse revue in Las Vegas, which allows those 18 years and above to
watch the show. |
