Get set for a multi-sensory experience and
participation of street art, street party, pre-parade rock bands, street
rockers and more at the main Chingay Parade on 3 and 4 February 2006 at
Orchard Road , the parade and party venue for Chingay 2006. |
|
For the second year running, Chingay Parade
of DreamS 2006 organised by the People's Association (PA) will continue
to be a two-week festival at public places and in the HDB heartlands to
enable thousands of more Singaporeans and tourists to enjoy. |
|

rocking and partying in Orchard Road all night long! |

HIGHLIGHTS OF CHINGAY ROCKS! |

Whisk off to a street gallery along Orchard
Road where quirky art pieces speak of raw youthful energies and dreams. |
|
Never before has the PA attempted to render youth
abundant creative spaces along the streets of Orchard Road . |
|
The youth are invited for the first time to
express their creative energies, dreams and thoughts in the form of street art
pieces to add to the festive atmosphere and hip quotient of the Chingay
Parade. |
|
The six institutions that are involved are Temasek
Polytechnic, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Nanyang Polytechnic, LaSalle-SIA
College of the Arts Singapore, ITE College West and People's Association
trainers. |
|
Each institution has been allocated a stretch of
road along Orchard Road where participants are given the freedom to adorn the
sector assigned to them. |

Face a cacophony of funky rock numbers as winners
of The Straits Times first School of Rock 2005 competition, 3Dash1 erupt in
musical pandemonium. They will set the atmosphere on fire! |

Chingay Parade will conclude on a high note with
happening party music. Gyrate and rock with the party crowd along the streets
of Orchard Road in this street party extended to 2 hours! Only on 4 February
2006! |

Competition Feel your heartbeat race to a meteoric
high as you witness outstanding cheerleaders execute breathtaking stunts. Let
your adrenaline run high with original Chingay cheers orchestrated with dance
steps by thousands of feisty street rockers. |

This is part of the PA's efforts to encourage more
community participation in the Chingay Parade. And you are invited to come
rock with us! |
