Police Advisory for US
President¡¯s Visit to Singapore |
|

The President of the United States,
President George W Bush, and the First Lady, Mrs Laura Bush, will be on
a 2-day official visit to Singapore, from 16 ¨C 17 November 2006. |
|
To ensure safety and security for the visit,
appropriate security measures will be put in place. |
|
A key security measure is the closure of
certain roads and expressways to traffic during the movement of the US
Presidential motorcade. |
|
Although the duration of the road closure
will be kept to a minimum, traffic delays can be expected and motorists
are advised to plan for more time to make their journeys. |
|
For security reasons, the details of the
affected roads will only be publicised over radio broadcasts on 16 and
17 Nov 2006. |
|
Motorists are advised to drive carefully and
to comply with the directions of police officers deployed along the
affected roads. |
|
We seek the public¡¯s understanding and
cooperation. |
