Police are concerned about recent public
reaction following the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) suit. We have
attended to a report of vandalism at the NKF compound. |
We have also been alerted that there could
be an intention to organise a group demonstration. |
While Police appreciate the sentiments of
the public in the on-going issue, Police advise individuals and groups
against taking the law into their own hands. |
We would like to remind the public that in
the absence of a permit, it is an offence to organise any assembly or
procession of five or more persons on any public road, public place or
place of public resort to demonstrate support for, or opposition to, the
views or actions of any person, or to publicise a cause or campaign. |
Police will not hesitate to act to uphold
the law and maintain the peace. |
