The time has come for bands to enter New Zealand¡¯s
fastest growing musical competition. |
The World Battle of the Bands is seeking out the
hottest, unsigned acts from six countries spanning the Pacific Rim. |
This is a competition organized by musicians for
musicians. The aim is to seek out the most astounding live music the world has
to offer. |
2004 saw around 400 bands, performing in 28
venues, almost 200 shows, in four countries. New Zealand band Chuganaut took
out the 2004 world finals |
2005 has now grown to include another two
countries and now extends to New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore,
Philippines and USA, over a six-month period¡ |
Heats start in June in Hong Kong with the
Singapore heats beginning on July 21st. |
Entries are now open for Singaporean bands to
enter the event. All applications can be made through the Internet
www.worldbattleofthebands.com.

The Singapore final winner gets a trip to Hong
Kong to compete in the World Finals including airfares and accommodation. |
Other prizes include the chance to win a recording
contract, studio time in New Zealand and Hong Kong, musical equipment and much
more. |
