Before his disappearance, he was just one of the many witnesses who had been interviewed by Police as part of the investigation into the missing girl Huang Na. He was never ill-treated at any time. If he is not involved in this case, there is nothing to fear and we advise him to come forward immediately to assist in our investigation".

Eight-Year Old Girl's Abduction Suspect Arrested

Took Leng How, a 22-yr-old Chinese man, wanted by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) in connection with the case of missing girl Huang Na, has surrendered himself to the Royal Malaysia Police (RMP). According to the RMP, Took gave himself up in Penang at 1.30 pm this afternoon.

Police have been looking for the Malaysian who is believed to be connected to the disappearance of the eight-year-old girl on 10 Oct 2004. The suspect fled Singapore after being called in by Police for further questioning. A warrant of arrest was issued against him on 26 Oct 2004 for abduction under Section 365 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 for the purpose of investigation as we have reasons to believe that he may be involved in this case.

SPF, with the assistance of the RMP, will be bringing the suspect back to Singapore tonight.

We would like to convey our gratitude to the Royal Malaysia Police, especially our counterparts in Johor, Penang and Perak, for their invaluable assistance. The close cooperation shows the level of rapport and trust that exist between the two police forces.
